Elite Home Care is providing care services at home for older Canadians in Vancouver area. Our carefully selected and trained care staff can provide a range of services including companionship, personal care and skilled nursing. In many cases seniors require assistance with Activities of daily living (ADLs). This is a term used to refer to daily self care activities within the home.

At Elite Home Care we defined ADLs as follows:

Bathing and showering (washing the body)

assistance with dietary planning and dining
Functional mobility (moving from one place to another while performing activities)
Personal hygiene and grooming (including brushing/combing/styling hair)

Health Care Aides

Provide important assistance to a wide variety of patients including the elderly, injured or disabled persons who require support and care. We offer Health Care Aides in hospitals and your home.

Caregiver

A caregiver or carer is an unpaid or paid member of a person's social network who helps them with activities of daily living. Caregiving is most commonly used to address impairments related to old age, disability, a disease, or a mental disorder.

Home Care

"Home and community care" services help people to receive care at home, rather than in a hospital or long-term care facility, and to live as independently as possible in the community.

Home Care can help elderly people by providing part-time care services such as housework, meal preparation and health care. To determine to what extent of Home Care is needed, the individual needs to be assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team.

They will place the individual into one of four categories:

Level 1 - basic care needs

Level 2 - low level care needs

Level 3 - intermediate care needs

Level 4 - high level care needs
